• Worked with the Research & Health Policy team to interview locals for baseline data insights needed to combat the Lassa fever outbreak.

• Supported the Health Communication team to develop communication plans, strategies, and timelines, and evaluate communication materials and activities for the USAID-Ghana Accelerating Social and Behavioural Change (ASBC) project.

• Contributed to stakeholder and partner outreach and engagement efforts.

• Worked with experts from UNICEF, EPI, USAID, and other key stakeholders to develop messaging and new programming for COVID-19 prevention campaigns in Ghana.

EIMAS Winter School Project 2022, UniBayreuth, Germany Sep 2021 - Dec 2022

The EIMAS Winter School is a yearly project independently undertaken by students of the European Interdisciplinary Master African Studies (EIMAS) programme to get intensive training in project management, marketing, and networking. A three-day conference on “African Heritage: Legacies to the Present”  was organised for this edition over one year and in consortium with three European universities in Germany, Portugal and France.

• Worked with other team members to increase the visibility of the 2022 Winter School by researching, writing, and proofreading communication materials about the conference themes, guest scholars, and other key information, and regularly updating social media and the EIMAS website with these.

• Developed communication plans, strategies, and timelines, and updated same in coordination with other teams. 

• Created communication materials, including press releases, articles, designs and visuals, presentations, reports, and social media posts.

• Facilitated international stakeholder relations by providing hands-on communication expertise.

• Assisted faculty with the preparation, teaching, and grading of the  'Speech Communication' and 'Community Media' undergraduate courses.

• Entered, maintained, and computed students’ information and results using Microsoft Excel.

• Coordinated the transition to online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic as the Departmental ICT Officer. This involved organizing training and ICT capacity-building activities for departmental staff and students.

• Collaboratively conducted and published communication research and other scholarly works. I also assisted faculty with data collection, for instance, facilitating and documenting a focus group discussion among practising journalists in Anambra state and coding newspapers for a qualitative study.

Community Senior Secondary School, Ikodi-Engenni, Nigeria May 2017 - Apr 2018

This was my primary assignment under Nigeria's National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme. It is a one-year national service scheme mandatorily undertaken by Nigerian graduates.

• Developed and implemented carefully thought-out English Literature lesson plans for the senior school students, and graded their tests.

• Cultivated positive relationships with the students to foster interactive and engaged classroom learning.

• Graded the students’ tests, monitoring their various learning needs, progress, and overall performance.

•  Volunteered as a news editor for the Orientation Broadcasting Service (OBS) and as the general secretary for the Sanitation Community Development Service (CDS) group.
